I had a BIG family project involving digitizing hundreds of slides.I looked at purchasing the smaller scanners that involve scanning one slide at a time & can also scan negatives.For the money, but its worth it to get this scanner because it can scan 4 slides at a time, negatives, transparencies for printing other Docs & converted into PDFs. In addition, the software enables you to adjust all scans instantly for fading, etc.This is a high-quality scanner, which should not be ignored!.
